The Client
Based in New Delhi, the Centre de Sciences Humaines is part of the network of 27 research centres funded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It conducts research and organizes lectures and seminars in social sciences and humanities.

The Challenge
The client had a huge database of books & publications. To manage the stock, CSH was using an offline solution, which was not reliable and cannot be used online, which was the client’s prime requirement.

The Challenge for Team Olive was to develop a solution, which not only works online but also integrates itself to the existing offline solution.

The Solution

Olive is also providing Managed Web Hosting support to the client and managing its critical database at its state-of–the-art development centre in New Delhi.

The client is able to maintain all the records offline as well online with the single entry to the offline software; the bridge programme automatically replicates the data to the online SQL Server, thus keeping all the information updated on a real-time basis. The robust and comprehensive search functionality has also helped the end-user get the relevant results immediately.
